We counsel law firms, individuals, and organizations on all aspects of tax-qualified retirement plans and non-qualified executive benefit arrangements.
We work with family law attorneys and in collaborative and mediated divorces to help clients negotiate the division of retirement benefits, stock and stock options. We can help conduct depositions, provide testimony on pension matters, draft separation agreement language for the division of retirement benefits, and draft qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs), including QDROs for military and federal pensions.
We work with individuals on disputes related to retirement benefits and on post-judgment matters related to enforcing and/or modifying divorce property settlements within the framework permitted by the Connecticut General Statutes.
We work with employers, plan administrators, and wealth management and insurance companies on retirement benefit matters, including reviewing QDROs, fiduciary compliance and retirement product disclosures.
